Requirements
The client, in order to increase the availability of the control system of the testing laboratory with Hydrogen Sulfide, decides the replacement of the control CPU with a new CPU with redundancy.

- IO network upgrade, replacing the communication via coaxial cable (RIO) by Ethernet network (ERIO)
- Control software migration, from Concept XL to Unity Pro
Implemented Solution
Antares Technologies carried out all work concerning PLC software upgrading.
Some of the tasks performed:
Some of the tasks performed:
- PLC software migration, migrating from Concept 2.6 XL to Unity Pro 8.1
- Hardware setup: 671-60 CPU, Ethernet RIO communication modules and new Drop to accommodate the redundant set (both CPUs and Ethernet modules duplicated for the communication with the SCADA system)
- Programming alarms according to the new function of redundancy.
- Development and commissioning of the software.
